WHY WOULD I, AS A BUYER, WANT TO GO TO AN AUCTION?
The excitement of an auction is unequaled. The auction "chant"
is like a song; very entertaining. And a better reason is YOU can decide
what YOU are going to pay for an item!
WHY ARE SOME AUCTIONEERS CALLED COLONEL?
It is an honorary title given to all auctioneers, not all use it. And it
comes from the Civil War era, in that only those officers with the rank
of at least a Colonel could divide up the spoils of war, using the
bidding process for this purpose.
